Teachers of French as a Foreign Language or French as a Second Language.
 These 2 week courses (totaling 50 hours) are offered mainly during the summer months.

All these courses can be offered and adapted to organised groups all year round. Please contact our French department.

It is recommended that each participant holds a preliminary B2 level (CEFR Scal). 

 Length

 5 hours per day (including breaks), 25 hours per week.

 Objectives and course content  

 Update and perfect your language (oral and written) and teaching skills using topical contents while refreshing your knowledge of modern French culture and society in France and the French-speaking world.
 Learn to vary and exploit authentic documents.
 Develop the use of literature, graphic arts, comic books, games, and songs in French language classes.
 Integrate task-based learning activities into your students’ curriculum (action oriented approach that fosters communicative linguistic abilities as described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
 Become more familiar with Education oriented Information technologies and get hands-on training of multimedia tools including tips and practical advice to create personalized educational material.
 Focus on internet usage and build up a list of useful sites from which to select authentic and inspiring documents fitting the needs of your students, categorize them, and create targeted activities in order to exploit their language and content for use in the classroom.
