Objectives

• • Improve student’s overall level of French and strengthen speaking skills
  • Practise French while doing cultural and sport activities
  • Foster exchanges within a multicultural environment

FRENCH COURSE

Communicative leaner-centered approach based on authentic documents Access to multimedia language labs for individual instruction Active learning strategies : role plays, debates, pair or group work filmed for critical analysis

LUNCHES supervised by the CAREL team.

SPORT ACTIVITIES

A different activity every day. These activities place the adolescent in a situation of authentic communication.

ACCOMMODATION IN HOST FAMILY

Half-board accommodation: breakfast and dinner taken with the family

Arrival on Sunday afteroon, departure on Saturday morning

Sunday day in the family for stays of 2 weeks

SATURDAY EXCURSION (for 2-week stay or longer)

These excursions give the opportunity to practise French in a relaxed atmosphere and pleasant environment

Assessment

The students are given two documents at the end of the training :

• an end of course certificate stating the duration and objectives of the course
• a report of the training which includes an evaluation of the skills acquired

Examples of excursions

On Saturday, discovery of iconic places of the region, not to be missed ! Examples : discovery of the estuary by boat, Futuroscope, Aquarium of La Rochelle, Zoo of La Palmyre
